Making our years supply of homemade tomato sauce!
This year we made 10 boxes of tomatoes which yielded about 80 mason jars worth of sauce. We used Ontario grown Roma tomatoes and filled the jars with fresh basil straight from our garden.
It’s a lot of work, but well worth it! The sauce tastes great and is all natural – no preservatives or other unknown ingredients. Plus, it’s a fun day to spend with my family and carry forward some traditions.
